Africa: Second Driest Continent
Africa is the 2nd driest continent in the world behind Australia, and millions suffer each day. According to 2006 reports, one third of African nations suffered clean water scarcity. Water is holding back Africa from developing further. Did you know that 30,000 African children die each day of contaminated water? And that 85 percent of all diseases in African children are caused from contaminated water? But did you know you can do something about this major issue? That we can stop it at the source? The world has already thought of tons of ideas to help countries in need in terms of water. Unfortunately, most countries that need water the most do not have enough money to use these techniques such as salinization or drip irrigation for their advantage. What we can do about it is that we can donate supplies to Africa such as clothing and food so we can get Africa back on its feet. Also we can go serve to people in Africa to help them with conserving water so they don't use it all.
